What a fascinating world to explore when it comes to her art! The film is very high quality in my opinion, thank you so much for all the work that went into it! I made a 30min documentary in german on her also, in case someone is interested!

Laurie is an inspiration to this artist. A charming and friendly character too, I knew her when she lived in London. She was encouraging in person but just seeing her drawings was encouraging because I realised that an artist can live from drawing, the thing I live to do. And yes, you can draw huge pictures and people will buy them, you aren't stuck with little A4 or A3 pads!

My interpretation of an artist is their style, theme, medium and their imagination put on paper or whatever they use. This is art and it's awesome and your eyes don't get tired of looking at it. Disturbing and odd is great in my opinion.👍👍😁

My favourite piece is the skeleton family tea party... Title: Bone China... I find Laurie's works mega funny rather than creepy. In fact, I've never liked the word, creepy... It suggests irrational societal taboos, regarding death, sex, mental illness, alienation, serious depression, etc, etc. Lauri said it is good to embrace your dark self. Her Mother said, "Better out than in." Carl Jung had a lot more to say about this tendency to repress and reject one's dark side. Jung said that, what triggers us the most, is the very thing that we repress in ourselves. We project our own thought crimes onto convenient third parties.

Genius video!! I'd seen some of less disturbing drawing occasionally but was never aware of her as a person. This was a brilliant video! There are a number of her drawings I will be glad not to see again but so many others, wow, I could study, study, study!! Her honesty and ease was very refreshing! Outstanding!!!
